Gut that got my goat

Two things I realised today:
1) Music as always evokes feelings out loud
2) The power of gut feel

Hear You Me by Jimmy Eat World came up on my 8track.com playlist today. I usually listen to indie/folksy songs in the morning but gravitated to something more mainstream today.

In any case, it evoked some sense of loss that I couldn’t understand. I felt something but couldn’t understand what caused it. The association finally struck me. This was one of the many songs that was posted on my friend’s wall when he left us. I was suddenly compelled to visit his profile and subsequently found out it is his birthday today. Funny how things have a way of turning out. It was just surreal.

Oh, a turning point. A turning point.

A dear friend who appreciated music for not just being noise. Who made me question what we should be living for. Who got me to question and start having faith again.

You are missed. Always.
